[series]: Tales of Destiny
[character]: Leon Magnus
[character history / background]: http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/Leon_Magnus
[character abilities]: http://aselia.wikia.com/wiki/ToD_PS2_-_Leon_Magnus:_Artes

Leon wields two weapons, his Swordian Chaltier and a small dagger. He is adept with both magic and swordsmanship. He is able to communicate with his Swordian due to the fact that he’s a Swordian master. Swordians are heard only be a select few, and those few are the people that they choose to wield them.

[character personality]: Outwardly, Leon is a cocky, bratty boy with a short fuse temper. He acts crass and abrasive when talking with people, to appear older than he is and be respected – be seen as an individual. Beyond that tough façade, Leon is easily flustered when he is caught off guard and often reacts angrily in situations where he is embarrassed.

Even still, there is more than meets the eye. While he is extremely distrusting of people, he trusts the few people close to him explicitly. Around those people, he is much more natural, cracking smiles, joking, even teasing. He doesn’t quite understand the concept of camaraderie, and is constantly struggling with the idea of friends beyond Chaltier. This in turn results in a headstrong, do-it-alone attitude that he is unable to shake no matter how much he begins opening up to people.

Chaltier, Leon’s Swordian, is quite the energetic, cheerful spirit. He is fiercely loyal to Leon – willing to follow him through anything even if he is uncomfortable with the situation. He very well may be Leon’s best friend to speak of. He is both chatty and opinionated.

[journal post]: [Accidental Voice Post]
Nn…Marian…

…?

[There is the sound of liquid lapping softly from movement]

A fountain? This… Where am I? Where is… Chal?

…Chal? Chal!

I’m here, Young Master!

[Sounds of water sloshing frantically for several moments.]

Tch, found you.

Young Master~ you sounded so worried about me!

D-don’t be ridiculous! Where are we? Didn’t we…?

[ooc| Chaltier is unable to be heard by non-Swordian wielders. So yes, Leon appears to be talking to himself. Italics is Chaltier.]

[third person / log sample]: “Sorry for dragging you through this, Chal…”

I will follow you wherever. My master is you, Young Master, was the ever-chipper voice that responded to his apology.

The cool grip of Chaltier’s hilt beneath his fingers did nothing to calm the turmoil in Leon - waiting there, waiting for the water to consume him. His eyes flickered towards the emergency lift. They were safe by now – surely on their way to stop his bastard of a father. And they would take care of Marian – that’s what mattered.

Marian.

Marian would be safe. For that knowledge he would give his life up. For that, he didn’t want to regret what he had done. He had betrayed those who had called him friend, said he would have done it all over again if given the choice. But… Would he have? What if he had called on Stahn and everyone else instead? They would have helped him save Marian, wouldn’t they? She would have never – the thought pained him – she would have never tried to take her own life for his sake. It was his fault, clinging to his stubborn tendencies, refusing to accept help from anyone but himself and Chal. And even to the end, that idiot Stahn had still insisted they were friends. Tch. He didn’t want to regret it, so why was he thinking this way?

A mirthless chuckle as he stared at the shuddering ceiling, watching as the cracks splintered through the rocks. It wouldn’t be long now. He’d be gone, but they would still live on. They would fix this mess that he had helped to make. If only – if only he had been stronger, he could have changed the results. Why had he been unable to trust anyone? Right down to the end, was he still so intent on being independent from everyone to prove himself? It was foolish of him – he could see it so clearly now. But it was fine this way. Hugo would be stopped; he could trust Stahn and the others to make sure of it. He was going to die for what he felt was right – to protect Marian in his own awkward way.

“This… This should be okay, right? Marian…” he murmured, eyes slipping shut to envision her smiling face, the gentle look she gave him as she scolded his way with people. He tried to remember her voice one last time to drown out the stones crashing to the ground, giving way to the torrential flood. Strange, the water was so cold as it smothered him, and yet he finally felt calm, at ease – warm even. What was it, he wondered…
